I WISH I HAD BOUGHT THAT DAMN JACKET IN L.A SO BAD. WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE.

Mike Skinner is my perfect man. He's a chav. He's beardy. He wrote and produced 2 of my most favourite albums ever. I can not fault him.
I couldn't choose my best Streets song, but if I had to it would probably be this one.
Or this. This one gives me goosebumps everytime. It's that piano loop.
Other favourite lyrics written by Mr Skinner are:
'She work's in JD's with Dan.'
Could Well Be In, A Grand Don't Come For Free.
'The clipper need's a shake. The ashtray need's emptying. But I wouldn't have it any other way.'
I Wouldn't Have It Any Other Way, A Grand Don't Come For Free.
'This ain't a track, it's a movement.'
Let's Push Thing's Forward, Original Pirate Material.
... I could go on.
Basically he is a God to me.

Jeff does L.A - Part 2
I have matching L.A palm trees in my garden, they are just not quite as tall.
This is Alice and she showed me the L.A way.
I wanted a picture with the graff too, but it's not as good.
Great salad and iced tea from Jones's.
Old Care Bears at the Rose Bowl. They all looked pretty manky but I liked the pastels together.
I think this is probably the best thing I have ever bought. A vintage Nike neon sign for $70 from the Rose Bowl. It's going to look SO FLY on my wall, I can not wait. And it lasted the 11 hour flight home in one piece. I'm pretty smug about this one.
Jeff does L.A - Part 1
Huveos Rancheros for breakfast is the best breakfast you can ever eat. FACT.
I tried on an original customised denim jacket by the late 70s skate crew, Bones Brigade. The denim geek from Chucks Denim on Melrose could see my excitement and we did a little photo shoot together. It was $1500's worth of amazing-ness.
Look at the repair work on the collar... it's just too good.
I ate alot of Shrimp.
Me posing on Melrose Avenue.
Our local stripe joint has amazing neon lights.
Me having bit of a Lindsay Lohan moment outside the Chateau Marmont. It was rubbish inside there.
We saw two really bad bands in the Viper Rooms. This lead singer thought he was Fred Durst and kept grabbing his crotch. HE WAS GROSS. The best part of that night was the Biggie party we had in the back of the cab on the way home. The driver was L-O-V-I-N-G it.

R.I.P. MCA
Sadly Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys passed away this week aged only 47 after a 3 year fight with cancer. An amazing musician who also directed many of the trio's videos under the name Nathaniel Hornblower, and I had no idea that in 2002 he founded Oscilloscope Pictures who went on to put out indie films such as Exit Through the Gift Shop, We Need to Talk About Kevin and The Messenger.
I have seen The Beastie Boys perform around 5 or 6 times now and they are defiantly up there in my top favorites.
What a sad lost.

WILDFOX Kids
Well into all of the new WILDFOX Kids collection, it's better than the big girls line. If only they went over age 14!
Where Have You Been
Rihanna's much anticipated new video has landed but it has only added to the fact that I am totally not into her anymore. The new track is produced by the douche that is Calvin Harris, and it sounds bladdy terrible. The wardrobe consists of mainly Emilio Pucci and is by far the best bit of the video.
Hot bod Rihanna, but with those dance moves Beyoncè you are not!

Lucien Freud @ NPG
If you didn't manage to get to the National Portrait Gallery to see the recent Lucien Freud retrospective, unlucky! I am generally a big fan of his paintings but his early work stands out for me. Lucien Freud was a very talented guy, he's a great loss to the British art scene.

This Must Be The Place
I went to see This Must Be The Place which is the new film by Paolo Sorrentino and stars Sean Penn. It was pretty good. I think the fact that in the film you hear one of my favourite songs ever ever ever by The Talking Heads played about 10 times, defiantly helped.
'....And you love me till my heart stops, Love me till I'm dead.'
The Talking Heads- This Must Be The Place.
LOVE YOU X
