HOUSE OF HACKNEY

Get yourselves down to the House of Hackney Pop Up shop sharpish. I went to the launch party last night and what the talented Frieda and Javvy have accomplished in such a short space of time puts the rest of us to shame. Each story they have created is perfectly different but they all make you leave wanting each piece. You can't pick up a paper or go online without reading an article about HOH at the moment and they are defiantly set for high heights.

The shop is open until Sunday on Stokenewington Road and the on-line store opens in the next few days. Go see the magic for yourselves...

''To coincide with the website launch the label is hosting a Pop up Shop over 4 floors of a Dalston Town house where the collections ‘ Dalston Rose’, Queen Bee and Hackney Empire can be seen in their glory. Grungy chintzed florals on wallpaper and monogrammed bed linen are ombre’d and tattooed in Dalston Rose; Queen Bee is a luxe tromp l’oeil and Hackney Empire sees animalistic debauchery with parrots and cranes, bush babies playing the accordion, badgers drinking cocktails, sloths smoking hookahs and a frog in a bowler hat. Wallpaper, bed linen, fine bone china, tasseled lampshades and antiqued mirrors sit alongside trophy pieces of furniture such as hand carved beds made for three, Victorian conversation chairs, Love seats and chaise longues in the eponymous fabrics and prints.''
